Event 3 of the Esports World Championship takes place on Wednesday 24 and Thursday 24 November with three exciting races. Wednesday gets underway in style with two races at tracks that present a real rollercoaster ride for competitors. For the first time ever in the F1 Esports Series, Portugal’s Portimao track is being used as the setting for a race. It is 4.653 kilometres long and its very demanding layout features 15 corners. As per the regulations, the race is run over 35% of the real Grand Prix distance, which at Portimao means 107 km, over 23 laps. Immediately after that it’s time for the old-school Zandvoort circuit, featuring for a second consecutive year on the Esports calendar: of its 14 corners, only two are actually flat, the rest being banked. Look out for 25 breathtaking laps!
Thursday sees competitors take a virtual flight to Texas to race again in Austin after a one year break. With its 20 corners and a race distance of 110 km, it is the longest event with the most corners of any other on the F1 Pro Championship calendar this year.
Our driver line-up continues unchanged this week in the F1 Esports Pro Championship. Joni Törmälä and Sebastian Job will be on track to try and bring home more points in the constructors’ classification, where the team currently lies eighth. They will be able to count on valuable support from Dario Iemmulo, once again on the pit wall as race engineer.
