Saudi Arabian GP: All you need to know
Making its debut on the Formula 1 calendar last season, the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix is the second round of the 2022 championship. Run at night on the high speed Corniche Street Circuit in Jeddah, it takes place alongside the Red Sea, about 30 kilometres from the city centre.
The sea provides a breathtaking backdrop to the track, rendered even more spectacular by the fact the race takes place under floodlights at night. Once again, Formula 1 crosses borders and cultures, sharing a passion for motor sport.
The 2021 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix was dramatic and exciting with Lewis Hamilton emerging victorious for Mercedes, after the 50 laps, ahead of Max Verstappen (Red Bull) and Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes.)
