2013 season

For the 2013 Formula 1 World Championship, our team in Faenza designed and built the new Ferrari-powered STR8. One of the new regulations that year was the introduction of the vanity panel which was fitted to the nose to hide the unsightly step which had been visible the previous year. The minimum regulation weight of the car went up 642 kg.

The car was once again driven by the Australian Daniel Ricciardo and the Frenchman Jean-Eric Vergne. Of the 19 races in 2013, at least one of our drivers finished in the points on 10 occasions. Our best result came at the Canadian Grand Prix where Vergne finished eighth. We finished the year 8th in the 2013 season with 33 points.
