“Whatever it Takes – the Race before the Races”, the film which tells the story of our team, will have its world premiere on 6 September in Venice and to celebrate the event the cars driven by Yuki Tsunoda and Liam Lawson will have its title on the side of the cockpit throughout the Monza weekend.
A few days after the race in Monza, on 6 September, the spotlight will switch from the Temple of Speed to the magical city of Venice. The World Premiere will be held in the morning at the Palazzina Grassi in front of an audience of guests and press. In attendance will be Yuki Tsunoda, Franz Tost, Peter Bayer and our team management. The show will not be limited to the screening, as our AT04 will sail down the Canal Grande before being moored at the entrance to the Palazzina Grassi throughout the morning. Never fear, fans will be able to take selfies with the car and meet Yuki Tsunoda and Sky Sport Italia’s Federica Masolin and even take home a Scuderia AlphaTauri bucket hat. How? Just get to the ‘Al Chioschetto’ (Fondamenta Zattere al Ponte Lungo, 1406/A, 30123 Venezia VE) and we will do the rest.
The film takes the viewer behind the scenes, revealing all the work that goes into designing and manufacturing our cars in the new Faenza factory and the Bicester wind tunnel. It looks back at all the successes, the drivers and everyone involved in the history of our team from 2006 to the present day. The film starts with the Scuderia Toro Rosso years, moving on to its current incarnation as Scuderia AlphaTauri, the wins at Monza in 2008 and 2020 courtesy of Sebastian Vettel and Pierre Gasly. Franz Tost, Yuki Tsunoda, Jody Egginton, Pierre Gasly and many others talk about the team’s 20 year history in Formula 1, the emotions and the challenges it has faced. Whatever it Takes was produced in conjunction with our Media Partner, Digital Lighthouse and explains what makes our team unique in Formula 1, its multicultural DNA, a mix of Italian passion, Austrian organisation and British pragmatism.
It evokes the whatever it takes attitude required to compete in the blue riband category of motor racing. It is also the story of a team that launched the careers of F1 world champions Vettel and Verstappen as well as champions and race winners in other categories, forging the careers of so many young drivers who have made their mark in the sport.
Whatever it Takes will soon be free to view for everyone on our official channels.
